Honestly, we also did not know her name until recently, but she managed to get into the final table finalists during one of the side events of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

Maria Konnikova is a bit over thirty. She was born in Moscow, in a Jewish family. When she was four years old, her parents decided to migrate to the United States. There she successfully graduated from Harvard Faculty of Psychology. She received her doctorate at the Columbia University of New York.
The career ladder led Maria to writing as the main specialty. Her first book Mastermind became the New York Times best-seller and was translated into 17 languages. Now she plays poker on an ongoing basis and writes for the New Yorker.
But how did the girl get into poker? She writes a book on poker and her ascent in the card world. The writer started last year. She learns the fine grain of poker and wants to become a full-fledged player.
